Link/Port Aggregation
Aggregation of up to 24 Ports or 12 links to a single or multiple output ports.

Filter
Filters traffic by IP address, port number and physical input port.

Load balancing
Load balances traffic by IP address, port number and physical input port.

Duplicated traffic remover
This function fully automatically removes duplicated packets. This function is extremely important when monitoring multiple links and entities where the same traffic is usually captured more than once.

10G traffic demultiplexer
If highly loaded 10G links have to be monitored the traffic can be easily demultiplexed into 24 low traffic Gbit links.

Flexible unit combination
Various units can be connected together – e.g. 240 input ports monitored at 24 output ports is straight forward and easy.

Cross connect function
Packetmaster can work as layer 3 cross connect plus aggregator and filter.

 

Jumbo Frame Support
The Packetmaster supports jumbo Ethernet frames with a size of up to 9000 Bytes – this feature is supported in all applications

Modular software concept and easy upgrade capabilties
Because of its open hardware and its flexible and modular software concept the Packetmaster can grow with customers requirements.

Link/Port Aggregation
Aggregation of up to 34 ports or 16 links to a single or multiple output ports.

Filter
Filters traffic by IP address, port number and physical input port. As advanced option we offer the unique payload filtering „fingerprint filter“

Packetmaster EX48

   
     

The Packetmaster EX product series has been developed to preaggregate low and medium loaded 10G links to save ports on expensive 10G traffic Analyzers and Capture tools. Alternatively the appliances can be used to automatically switch heavily loaded 10G links between different Analyser- and/or Capture ports.

Once wired, any tool connected to the Packetmaster EX can access any datalink tapped or spanned into the appliance. An intuitive, very easy to use Command Line Interface allows connecting ports to each other in seconds. Changing the setup of the appliance does not influence ports not being part of the change. Each port automatically becomes a 1G or 10G port depending on the SFP(+) used.

Applications:

Link / Port Aggregation
Aggregates up to 46 10G ports to one single output port. Multiple Aggregation pipes are available.

Transparent Switching
The EX48 can be used as a fully transparent Any to Any and Many to Any Layer1 switch matrix.

Filtering
The appliance can handle more than 1.000 filters at the same time at line rate. Any filter can either drop or move any packet.

Media conversion
All ports are SFP+ based enabling easy media conversion between single and multi mode applications as well as any optical wavelength.

The CUBRO Converter TAP converts the traffic of an optical Gigabit Ethernet link to an SFP output. With its fully passive connection to the network it does not influence the traffic of the optical network link while still allowing full access to the traffic via the electrical 1000B-T monitoring port.

For all these cases CUBRO provides a cost-effective, flexible and small device which converts the incoming traffic to an additional output port. The CUBRO Converter TAP uses SFP modules which give a maximum off flexibility to the user. It is possible to change or add SFPs during operation without interrupting other ports. (hot-swap)

Moreover, it is possible to use non-vendor specific SM, MM, COPPER, CWDM, BIDI -SFP, in any combination.

The path from input to the output ports is fault-transparent. If the link on input port is going down, the output ports follow with a short delay.

The path from input to the output ports is layer 1 to 7 transparent. Any error on the input port will be copied to all output ports.
