  • Sweep thousands of frequencies in seconds

Fluke Networks Cable 635 QuickBERT-T1

In a single 4 lb (1.8 kg) package, the 635 includes all the basic T1 testing capabilities you would expect in a larger and more expensive tester. It performs bit-error tests, detects framing type, line coding and bit pattern, and displays signal level, frequency, clock slips, errors and alarms. The 635 transmits the most commonly used loop codes, including HDSL. Full, unframed and fractional (56k and 64k) T1 are supported, along with display of signaling and data bits and capture of DTMF digits. Plus, individual voice channels may be monitored on the built-in speaker or over a headset.

Eleven standard BERT patterns are available, including a 64-bit user-defined pattern. The 635 also includes a "through" mode where the incoming pattern is retransmitted. Errors - including bipolar violations, logic and frame bit - can be injected to confirm proper handling by the network. Two receivers permit detection of any clock slips. Multiple receiver input types allow terminated, bridged or monitor (DSX) connections. Either recovered or internal clock references can be selected. AMI or B8ZS line coding can be transmitted and received, and SF, ESF, SLC96 and unframed framing are supported.

The 635 is compact, rugged and easy to use. Just plug it in and you can immediately see essential
information without scrolling through layers of menus. The 635 automatically detects framing and

line coding type and instantly displays any errors or alarms. A history indicator helps track intermittent problems.

Features:

  • Full featured, handheld T1 test set at an affordable price
  • Instantaneous detection and display of framing, line coding, errors, alarms, level, frequency and more
  • Transmits and receives common Bit Error Rate Test (BERT) patterns and includes all common loop codes, including HDSL

Fluke Networks Insight EXP Test Set

Fluke Networks Insight EXP Test Set
Fluke Networks Insight EXP Test Set

PDA-based field test set for double-ended testing with the DATU EXP Central Office unit.

This PDA-based field test set provides a superior testing solution for the field technician. The InsightEXP works in concert with the DATU EXP CO unit to achieve fully automated-double ended testing capabilities. The 2 components automatically conduct a complete suite of parametric loop tests at the touch of a button. The software-upgradeable InsightEXP test set vastly improves fault identification over conventional testing methods, while testing time & effort are reduced with user friendly menus.

Technicians invoke DATU EXP tests and conditions remotely using the Insight EXP Test Set, enabling assessment of physical and electrical characteristics of a line from any point on the loop. Technicians can also direct the DATU EXP unit to place conditions on a line through DTMF tones from a standard butt-in test set. The double-ended testing capability allows a technician to place the Insight EXP unit on any copper telephone line, with dial tone
and test the line end-to-end by pressing either the Final Test button or the Loop Test Button on the

main menu. The Insight EXP will automatically
communicate with the Central Office installed DATU EXP. An automated test suite will be initiated without the technician. Comprehensive testing reduces repeats. Test suite includes AC volts, DC Volts, current, opens, loss, power influence, noise, resistive length, capacitance leakage, longitudinal balance and load coil detection. You can accomplish with the tap of a button what takes up to 36 steps in other units. There is no interpretation needed on the Pass/Fail testing. This unit provides the portability of a laptop. Can include close/receive job application, bar code scanner, customer satisfaction survey, customer signature capture. At the push of the Advisor button, faults are identified and located using RFL improving technician productivity. The short range TDR measure shorts and opens up to 2500 feet and provides numerical read out of the distance. It also uses a standalone test suite for conformance testing a copper subscriber circuit.

Features:

  • Automatic 12-step test ´
  • Loop Test and Final Test
  • Test results displayedNumerically and as Pass/Fail – No interpretation is needed
  • V90 Modem for dial-up applications running on the PDA
  • PDA provides the portability of a laptop.
  • Expert Advisor with RFL quickly identifies faults to improve tech provuctivity
  • Short range digital TDR measures shorts and opens up to 2500 feet providing numerical read out of the distance
  • Digital Multi Meter uses a standalone test suite for conformance testing a copper subscriber circuit
