Calnex Paragon-m Messlösungen für Ethernet Mobile Backhaul
     

Calnex's Paragon-m ist ein Messgerät für den Feldeinsatz zur Überprüfung der Protokolle Dienste und Schnittstellen 1588v2 PTP, NTP, Sync-E, E1/T1 und Time of Day (ToD) in dem übertragenden Netzwerk und führt den Nachweis der geforderten Netzwerk Performanz.

Das Paragon-m misst Time of Day (ToD) und Frequenz (E1, T1 oder jegliche andere Frequenz) auf Nanosekunden Genauigkeit. Im Fehlerfall oder erkannten Problemen während dieser Tests analysiert das Paragon-m die Performanz von 1588v2 PTP, NTP und Sync-E Anwendungen und unterstützt den Anwender bei einer unmittelbaren Fehlerbehebung.
  • Testet die Time of Day (ToD) Genauigkeit und führt den Nachweis, dass erforderliche Grenzwerte eingehalten werden (z.B. +1.5µs für TD-SCDMA oder TD-LTE)
  • Analysiert die 1588v2 (PTP) Packet Delay Variation (PDV) und überprüft die Einhaltung spezifizierter Grenzwerte (einschließlich pktMTIE, MAFE, etc.)

DSn/PDH and Ethernet Test Set for Legacy and Synchronized Packet Networks 
The VePAL TX130M+ is a full-featured Mobile Backhaul test solution supporting legacy PDH/DSn, Carrier Ethernet technologies, and Synchronized Packet networks. The unit is capable of emulating both Master and Slave clocks according to ITU-T G.8261 SyncE and IEEE 1588v2 standards, which is particularly useful for carriers since either or one or both of these protocols can be implemented in the mobile network or cell site depending on deployment scenario.   • Product Information

  • TimePort™ is a low power, light weight, portable device that maintains time to within hundreds of nanoseconds of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) despite being disconnected from both GPS and external power source.

    Conventional methods to calibrate time involve transporting a very heavy Caesium atomic clock or running a GPS cable from a convenient outside location into the equipment room and using other test equipment. TimePort™ enables time measurement or calibration at less than 5% of the power, weight and size of transportable atomic clocks and removes the need to provision new or additional GPS cables.

    Typical users of this new time service will be financial institutions, telecom networks and power utilities where time delay errors caused by cables, equipment and networks must be quantified and removed to enable services to operate effectively.

Ruth Belville

TimePort™ is a 21st century equivalent to the 19th/early 20th century service of transporting time which was operated by Ruth Belville - "The Greenwich Time Lady" with an 18th century pocket watch which she calibrated weekly at The Royal Greenwich Observatory.

Whereas the Belville service brought time to London's Banks in the early 20th century with accuracies to a few tenths of seconds, TimePort™ will enable time to be transported in the 21st century using the stability of an atomic clock with nanosecond accuracy.
