HDCP 2.2 CTS Test Tool for DisplayPort 1.4

UCD-400 is Unigraf's Hardware platform for HDCP 2.2 Compliance Tests on DispalyPort 1.4 interface. UCD-400 is a DCP Approved HDCP 2.2 CTS Test Tool for testing sinks and sources. Official approval for testing repeaters is expected to be announced shortly. UCD-400 is also a VESA certified test tool for DP 1.4 Link Layer CTS Tests.

UCD Console GUI as a Test Software

UCD Console GUI is a common user interface for all UCD-300/400 series Test Tools. UCD Console is provided as a standard Software with each UCD-300/400 delivery. HDCP 2.2 CTS Test is an add-on feature for UCD Console GUI. The tests can be straightforwardly enabled to any UCD-300/400 installation with an SW update and application of the corresponding license key. UCD Console features ready-made test sets for HDCP 2.2 CTS Tests. You can easily select, run and monitor tests in UCD-Console GUI.

In addition to the Compliance Tests, UCD-323 features Functionality Testing of HDCP 1.3 and HDCP 2.2 encryption.

For R&D and Test Automation

UCD-400 supports both hands-on debugging and running extended automated test sequences. UCD Console GUI is a preview and test application for dektop use. Each interface function has a well structured dialog for superior at-a-glance viewability. Unigraf TSI is a test software API that provides the system integrator a fast and reliable way for ensuring the functionality of the tested equipment. The unit supports FEC, DSC and LTTPR.

Fully Featured R&D Debug Tool for USB Type-C DP Alt Mode Interface

UCD Console GUI is the preview and control application for UCD-340. When UCD-340 is used as an analyzer, UCD Console Basic enables users to e.g preview and capture video & audio and evaluate the upstream and downstream link statuses. When UCD-340 is used as a video generator, UCD Console Basic provides users with e.g. video pattern generator and audio generator.

Optional UCD Console Pro offers multiple additional features. For example, users can read and write EDID and DPCD and built-in DUT tests are enabled. With optional HDCP 2.2 Support users can monitor DUT's HDCP 2.2 status. UCD Console Pro can be easily added to any UCD-340 Test Tool with a SW update and application of the corresponding license key. Unique Electrical Test

UCD-340's Electrical Testing enables testing the continuity of signals in the USB-C interface by verifying current flow in signal lines. For example, an automated test can verify the flow of the signal. This will help ensure that components in the DUT are functional and soldering process was successful.

Authorized HDCP 2.2 CTS Test Tool

UCD-340 is the only DCP Approved Test Tool for HDCP 2.2 CTS Testing on USB Type-C DP Alt Mode Sinks and Sources. HDCP 2.2 Compliance Test capability is an add-on feature to UCD Console GUI. The tests can be straightforwardly enabled to any UCD-340 installation with an SW update and application of the corresponding license key.

Compact 4K Test Automation Tool

UCD-340 Test Tool is delivered with Unigraf's basic Test Automation Software TSI (Test System Interface). TSI is a high level software API for creating automated tests in an integrated development environment (IDE). Unigraf's TSI contains predefined, highly dedicated Test Cases for testing essential functions of USB-C DP Alt Mode.

TSI API Advanced Test Set provides user with e.g. EDID and DPCD Editor and built-in Source DUT tests (ARC, CEC, CRC). TSI SDK Advanced Test Set is also available with HDCP 2.2 Support. TSI SDK Advacned Test Sets can be straightforwardly enabled to any UCD-323 Test Tool with an SW update and application of the corresponding license key.

Ellisys USB 3.1 analysis software

The following screenshot shows the Ellisys USB 3.1 analysis software with Mass Storage traffic and a SCSI Read transfer expanded. You can note the new "Link Credit 2" introduced in USB 3.1, as well as throughput of 1.02 GByte/s enabled by the enhanced SuperSpeed at 10 Gbps.

This screenshot shows the Ellisys Instant Timing view, zoomed-in in order to distinguis clearly packets and link commands. This view is very useful for visualizing protocol sequences, as well as measuring timings with an unequalled precision.

The Ellisys software can be configured in various modes for different tasks. The following screenshot shows a perfect configuration for debugging LTSSM progression, with the Instant Link State showing the valid and invalid transition, and the overview and Instant Timing showing the LTSSM states changes precisely.

Typical Setups

Analysis Setup
The USB Explorer 350 is connected in a logically passive mode to record traffic and bus events passing between host and device. The analyzer provides same-link concurrent support for USB 3.1, USB 2.0 and USB PD, as well as concurrent Vbus tracking and logic analysis, all perfectly synchronized and presented in the Ellisys analysis software.

Host Emulation
Setup An USB Explorer 350 acts as generator while the second unit acts as passive protocol analyzer. The generator emulates a USB host with PD dual-role Provider/Consumer support, while allowing the user full control the behavior, including arbitrary packet and error injection. The analyzer records all traffic and gives real-time traffic information.

USB Type-C Configurations

Full support of USB Type-C is added with an adapter board and cables. In analyzer mode, the Ellisys EX350 supports the capture of CC traffic and tracks as well CC and Vconn voltage, to ease debugging of attachments and detachments.

In generator mode, the EX350 supports the emulation of all Power Roles (Sink, Source, Dual Mode) as well as all Data Roles (DFP, UFP, DRP). In addition, the EX350 can emulate an e-marker cable, and can test e-marker cables even without extra UFP or DFP.

Ellisys provides a unique (and exclusive) way for customers to probe an embedded USB bus.  The probe is specially designed to support embedded USB applications, including embedded USB designs compliant to Inter-Chip USB (IC_USB), a new specification that provides requirements for embedded USB designs, including alternative (lower) signal voltage levels.
